My husband believes that twin and single beds are the same legnth but the single bed is skinnier? True or not?

They're the same size but a single bed is one bed and twin beds are two beds alike. Bunk beds fit on top of each other and usually fit side by side as in twin beds. Single mattresses fit on all of them. Good luck. 2D

Yes, a single or twin bed is 39 inches, a cot is 30 inches,
A Double is 50 inches,
A queen is 60 inches,
A king is 78 inches wide.

they are the same thing. Bunk beds have twin size mattresses

yep, they are the same thing.
they also make a twin XL, which is width the same but just longer. I found great sheets for the XL @ JC Penney.
