Do you require buyers that are not satisfied with an item to prepay the postage and return the item...then once you receive it, you will refund them the money?

Sugar Anne,
That sounds kind of unethical, isn't It? I'm not taking chances. I'm a firm believer in "what goes around...comes around".

I return the initial total payment (bid price plus postage) upon the return receipt of the item. The return postage is the buyer's responsibility.
I have not had a return and really don't expect to get one since I don't over sell or embellish my description or photo of the item. I always disclose any concerns or possible concerns the buyer may have with the item (i.e. scratches, chips and so forth.)
I have really had no concerns with EBay other than a very few sellers that were a little slow on shipping. Other than that, I find that it's a great place to find items that otherwise would be very difficult to locate.

It all depends on what I am selling. I once sold a gym membership and I specified that I will not accept a return. I refused to have any hassles with someone who changed their mind about a gym membership. Other than that, I usually accept returns but I have never had anyone return anything. By the way, if you are interested in a way to get money back every time you buy something from Ebay, then send me an email.

I don't refund postage at all, unless it is seller error of some kind. After I receive the item back, I issue the refund.

Come to my forum of 300+ eBay sellers and ask around - see what other sellers do.
