I'm troubled by the lack of justice concerning child molesters. After being rehabilitated in prison, they either give a fake address to their parole officer or just forget to register with local law enforcement. Right now over 100,000 of them are missing, and the police have no idea where they are or what they are doing. In my little town, there's 387 pedophiles living in my zip code. Property values are down and child rapes and murders are up. The cops say they don't have enough time, money or staff to deal with it. What if a child molester moves in next door to you and your family? What would you be willing to do to protect your children?

Fortunately, Missouri has one of the most liberal gun laws. Anyone trespasses on private property now, we can defend ourselves.
Amazing number of sexual predators listed for our area,-rural, in past manhunts for murderers, law enforcement had some fun catching them.
Now with more people using computers, it is getting difficult for them to hide out.
Small towns have their own websites and lots of them have easy access web pages and are making us more aware.
One of the most important things all can do is get to know neighbors just a little bit and form Neighborhood Watch groups and look out for each other.

Well, It would be nice if our legal system stopped creating these Bogey men for all to cast stones at.

Do you know how many drug users are in your neighborhood? Or how many wife/husband beaters are in your neighborhood? What about individuals who have been found guilt of NUMEROUS DUI's.

Each of those individual are more likely to affect you or your family then someone now classified as a "sexual predator".

Since sex crimes are more likely to occur between family members than strangers --- I would worry far more about the child's uncle or aunt, or its grandparents then the stranger down the street.

There are some individuals who have been branded with that tarring rubric, who have not done anything except been at the wrong place at the wrong time. There have been cases where a 16 yo is hooking up with a 14 year for a number of years --- she turns 18 before going away she does what she did the day before her birthday --- boy is left alone -- he tells teacher that he hooked up with an 18 yo --- She becomes a SP -- with full media press and her life is ruined.

Would it not be in your best interests to teach your children about sexuality and the difference between "moist friction" and actual love?

Formerly - one.
Wayne Curtis lived about 4 blocks away...near a school.
In spite of complaints to relocate him, the cops did nothing...
until he killed a handicapped woman . He's now in jail, and another person is dead.
