I am 15 and i work and my mom thinks she has rights over my money and she thinks she can take it away whenever she wants. is this true? do i hold no right over the money i work for? a website where you found your answer would be helpful. 5 points for best answer!

Legally, your mother is your guardian and
does have a right to your money.
Ethically, she should use it only for the
benefit of you & the family if she takes it.

You are only 15 and need to grow up. I am sorry for the fact you only have your Mother. Where is your father? Hopefully you still have contact with him and should go to him for your answer.
You do not have any right to handle your money. Your mother is your guardian and is responsible for your actions. If you spend you money on liquor or drugs and kill someone, she would be responsible for not supervising your actions because you have not matured enough to make good decisions. Some Mothers have not grown up and are making bad decisions about their children. That being the case there are better areas to contact other than Yahoo answers. Call your police department if you think you are being abused. They will council you better as a first contact. I have found that most of these type of complaints are from children that have been allowed to make their own decisions at to young an age.
