Randy Moss is talented, I can't take that away from him...but I'll tell you why he's good.
1. Tom Brady
2. Offensive Line
3. Wes Welker
4. Donte Stallworth
5. Ben Watson
The receivers relieve the coverage on Moss, Line protects the best QB in football, and that best QB in football is throwing it to him. With all that going for him. Moss can you his great skills to his advantage. He does look like the best this year though, but I can't get by the fact that there are so many other factors going for him...

it is true....Moss is a Freak, and he actually is getting better.....amazing what some experience, maturity, and a decent QB can do to give new life to a "has been" WR. Guess all he ever needed was a chance to make plays......
The thing that set Rice apart from ALL others, and probably always will....was that he never tried to get by on talent.....face it,, when he first entered the league, he was "slow", and he dropped the ball. He fixed all of that thru hard work and discipline. I truly believe we will never see another Receiver with the same level of self discipline as Rice.
Seeing Moss on this team...at the moment I would have to say in terms of raw ability, Moss has shown that he is the Best currently playing (and thats hard for me to admit, since I'm a pretty big fan of Ocho Cinco and Housh)
Only dude currently that can come close...would be Steve Smith...for pretty much all the opposite reasons....he's short, his team is mediocre......he is just freakin insane. Imagine if the Pats could put him on the same field with Moss?

Marvin Harrison always tried his best, no matter how good or bad the Colts were playing.
Randy Moss doesn't try to help his team if it's losing.
That's the huge difference between them.
BTW, Mahal said in 4) that Moss made Chad Pennington a good QB at Marshall, then how Marshall went undefeated the next season under Chad Pennington after they lost 3 the last season with Moss? Furthermore, Marshall won 5 out 6 MAC titles from 1997 to 2002 under Pennington and Byron Leftwich. And Moss juimped to the NFL in 1997.

Randy Moss is simply amazing!!! One of the greatest wide recieving talents we have ever seen!! He is a rarest combination of amazing speed, size, leaping ability and incredible hands.
And no it didn't start with Tom Brady....
Evidence:
1 - In high school, he not only lettered in football where he played WR, Saftey, Punter and return man, he was a center fielder in baseball. And played Basketball, where he was the state Athlete of the Year, twice and once in Football
2 - Moss was recruited by Notre Dame recruited where Lou Holtz said he was the "greatest athlete he had ever seen". However he was kicked out for a fighting incindent
3 - Moss then went to Florida State, where Bobby
Bowden said he was one of the fastest athlete he had ever coached (remember Dion Sanders went to FSU). He was later kicked out because of drugs.
4 - Moss wound up at Marshall where he broke almost every receiveing record. He made Chad Pennnington look like he had a strong arm. Moss was even a Heisman finalist and was invited to New York City for the ceremony. He didn't win but he was by far and away the best college player that year.
5 - Moss fell to the Vikings in the draft and proceeded to tear up the NFL. Catching 80 passes for 1,413 yards and 11 touchdowns in his rookie season!
Now the only forgettable time was at Oakland where his unhappiness and personality got in the way of his production again.
But now he is with Brady, we are back to seeing the real Moss that we have seen since high school....

Randy is one one of the greatest, no doubt about it. There are others out there that could have numbers like that though. Chad Johnson, Steve Smith, Santana Moss, A. Boldin, even T.O. Tom Brady has a way of making guys look better. Just like Peyton.

randy is a great talent and despite your contention about his speed he does have elite speed. but saying he is better than jerry rice, the greatest receiver of all time is a little premature. randy has great stats but the only thing he lacks is consistency. he is consistent now on a great team but in past years he wasnt as consistent. to get to jerry rice levels you have to do it big, for several years. randy is amazing and i'm not taking anything away from him, i'm just not ready to pass that torch yet. if he keeps doing what he's doing this year for a couple more i might change my mind.

needless to say with the vikes he develop into youthful, so he develop right into a lot quicker and looks greater atheletic returned than. He reward with the patriots, a minimum of final 300 and sixty 5 days from somewhat stable QB play with Brady, and he continues to be very very risky. yet He seems to have lost a step from while he develop into youthful and with the vikes. yet inspite of the step lost he's greater useful than maximum recievers accessible.

There was never any doubt about his abilities or talent. Now he is finally in a situation where he has a coach, a quarterback and other players, who can tell him to shut up and play. Actually they do not need to tell him. He is not stupid and he understands it's his last chance to win a ring.
