Well they had a choice with Jerry Remy and his ordinary Redsox partner Don Orselio. So they chose the Big Shots on national Television. 1st they cheered the Yankees. Then they went freaky with the Indians when the Indians won 3 in a row. How wonderful. The Indians would win just 1 more game and the Red sox were finished. The 2 were like twins in there comments about how weak hitting the RedSox lineup was. I hated those guys so much that the last 2 games I watched the game on HD Digital tv and listened to the radio with the regular Red Sox announcers. They had to be humbled to "mumbles" into broadcast mikes after the huge 8th inning that buried the tribe team. I loved it. Go Red Sox

Yes, Manny Ramirez does only care about himself...I guess that's why the Red Sox win in spite of him, right?
You'll have to do a lot better than that...and so will Joe and Tim...someday.

ya i agree with you Joe Buck is really arrogant and the only word i could describe tim mccarver with is pompas manny isnt the best defensive player and he can be to laid back at times but he can hit the ball and maybe he doesnt hustle as much as he should but he still has fun playing

Joe Buck is the son of one of the greatest broadcasters ever (Jack) and I think he is carrying on the tradition quite well. He calls it like he sees it, and doesn't pull any punches!!
As for McCarver, no one can question his experience. He was a great catcher in his day.
By the way, Steve-O, you could not be more wrong about them being Yankee fans. Joe's dad was a St Louis Cardinal broadcaster almost till the day he passed. He is even in the Cardinal Hall of Fame. Joe still lives in St Louis and does many Cardinal games for FSN when he is home.
McCarver won a World Series with the Cardinals. Yankee fans they definitely are not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would agree that they are terrible announcers but I believe that they have justification when talking about Manny Ramirez. Manny is a disgrace to the game of baseball.

The main problem I've had with both of them is that they simply talk way too much about really insignificant matters that have nothing to do with the game in progress.

Nothing is "wrong" with them, per se. They've simply managed to achieve prominence without ever having to give interesting or insightful commentary, and have thus never bothered to develop those skills.

I agree. I wish they would find other announcers. I never have cared for these two guys.
