∫10x - 2x^3/2
let u = x
du=dx
so
∫10u - 2u^3/2
(10u^2)/2 - 2/5(2)u^5/2 du
5x^2 - (4/5x^5/2) + C

Let u = sqrt(x), u^2 = x, 2u du = dx. The integrand becomes a polynomial in u.
