Mythology about soul mates says that in the beginning people were connected. They angered the Gods and Zeus sent down his lightening bolts and split them up and put on separate ends of the earth so that human kind would spend the rest of their lives searching for the other half of their soul.
I believe with all my heart that everyone has a soul mate and it is my wish that every person find theirs.

Considering the ration of men to women, with women outnumbering men, there probably isn't a soulmate for everyone. And that's not to say that all the people without a partner are women.
I guess they're only sadly lonely if indeed they're lonely. Some people are happier when they're not in a relationship or simple don't want one.

I believe everyone has a soulmate. The only reason alot of people disagree is because they don't care to try to find that special someone due to bad relationships and stuff. They've been hurt so bad that its affected their view on love and think it's not worth the fight.
But yes. I strongly think there is. Just gotta keep searching and not give up.

Not having a soulmate does not make someone sadly lonely. Not being able to live a fulfilling life makes someone sadly lonely. There is a big difference.

We can, but at heart as human beings we are social. We need the company of others, to a greater or lesser extent. For some that results in a lifelong companion, for others a perpetual search that never truly ends, others it might be deliberate moving away from that search with a secret yearning - there are many variations on these themes.
My point is we connect and disconnect with people on a daily basis, what we choose to do (or not to do) with these connections is our choice and we have alot more choice in the matter than sometimes we give ourselves credit for. I once told a friend of mine you can never really love someone until you can be happy in your own company.

I think that everybody has more then one soulmate. One for each stage they go through in life. On occasion it will be one that will be there for more then one phase. As long as we have friends and or family that we love, and love us...we are never truly alone.
The key is knowing and accepting that one can and is a complete person without a significant other.

I do not believe in soul mates. There are plenty people who you could be potentially happy with. Imagine if you did have a soul mates - and you had to search through several billion people to find them!
No, I believe you often make yourself happy or sad by the choices you make. Some people never manage to find someone they can be happy with, but sometimes I think these people just need to meet more people! (Or maybe be less picky? More tolerant?)

Yes there is! In fact, I believe there is 2 for everyone! One that is destined to be your best friend (as important as your bloodline) and the other of the oppisite sex from your best friend, and this one is destined to be your lover!
