Ladies buying shoes. I know some women who shoe budgets approach the Yankee payroll, lol.

But all kidding aside, can we put this Yankee buying players stuff to rest? Yes, they have the highest payroll, but as long as there isn't a salary cap, they're not breaking any rules.

Besides, the Red Sox have a history of buying players as well. Tom Yawkey was the George Steinbrenner of his day. His dad had owned the Tigers and they won the World Series in his 4th year. When Yawkey bought the Sox in the 30's, he bought a lot of players from other teams because he wanted to beat his dad's record.

In conclusion, I'd just like to say, Let's go Red Sox! (clap, clap, clap, clap, clap)

Face it buddy. When you have all the money in the baseball world, you can get free agent players when you offer them twice as much as everyone else. The Yankees and Red Sox are the sole reason why baseball needs a salary cap. You have to make it fair to small market teams like the Twins and the Devil Rays. Come on, dude. Think.

Do you even know that Boston's payroll is only a few million short of the Yankees. Maybe you should put some thought into your questions. And the Boston payroll will prolly surpass the Yankees after they lose the series this year.

Id have to go with the yankees on this one, seeming that they buy the "best" players, and still end up losing? Its just a waste of money, yet they procede to do so

You've got some nerve. Boston's payroll is $143,123,714.

Have you looked at the Red Sox lately?
Daisuke Matsuzaka 106,000,000
J.D. Drew 14,400,000
Eric Gagne 6,000,000
Eric Hinske 5,725,000
Mike Lowell 9,000,000
Julio Lugo 8,250,000
Matt Clement 9,500,000

Think before you speak.
