*Helping ALOT around the house
*Taking Care of my Mom's dog
*Made a Binder full of facts about the pet
*Made a Powerpoint about the Pet
Anyother Ideas

I said that the rabbit would stay outside in a hutch, except for the winter months. So then she couldn't say that it stinks. But her reason is that she just doesn't want any pets right now. Although she is always talking about getting another dog. My dog does fine with other animals we had a hamster not to long ago for about a year, and we really didn't have any problems. My hamster past away and maybe she's sad about it and maybe thats why she doesnt want another pet. But I have explained to her that I am not trying to replace my hamster I said I'll even wait until Christmas. But its always the same answer a *** fat "NO"!

Well, you really have been coming up with some very good ideas.

Have you told your mom that you will be responsible for taking care of the rabbit? Have you saved the money yourself for one?

Has you mom given you any reasons as to why she wouldn't want you to have a rabbit? Is she worried about how the dog will react?

Good Luck

It sounds to me like you've covered it. Most parents are concerned that you won't take care of the animal. It seems to me that you've shown you are responsible enough and determined enough to care for a pet. Make the argument that she will not have to take care of the animal. Make sure your power point shows clean up and maintenance necessary for a rabbit. Maybe include a calendar showing when you'll feed the rabbit, how you'll make sure it gets proper exercise, when it needs to go to the vet and the costs of this, when and how you will clean the cage, etc. These are things that are probably already in your power point though if not I hope this helps.

Make sure you ask your Mom why you can't get the animal. She may have a very good reason.

I think you're doing a bang-up job with your presentation to your Mom about getting a rabbit. The question I have is, where is the rabbit going to live--outside or inside? And, how will the rabbit get along with Mom's dog?

You sound like a smart, likable kid. I hope you get your rabbit.

say that getting a rabbit will give you an alternative to doing drugs, parents freak out about that stuff, and if you can convince them that getting a rabbit will decrease the chances of you doing drugs even 1%, they will do it.

Well, you can need to decide to continually feeding them and exchanging their water day-to-day. Don't nag her to scrub the cage, they are your rats, she won't need to do whatever for them if she does not desire to. There's a realistic reply to that... care for them and so they may not get in poor health! Try and earn a few cash for vet expenses.

I told my mum I would drop out of school if I couldn't get a pet, so I ended up getting a cat. But then I dropped out of school anyway..feel quite guilty looking back, so i probably wouln't recommend my immature method of bribery!

Keep it up and it's sure to work!

Hope she gives in!
