My mom thinks I have a eatting disorder.
I don't need to go into details but the latest
phone call I got from her she said I looked too
thin and here's the deal, she'll pay me $100 for
every pound I gain up to $1000.
The money is supposed to go to the new clothes that fit
the new fat body.
I WILL NOT gain weight just for new cloths.
The woman is fricking nuts.
I could lie to her and say I've gained 5 pounds
so I have $500 for my regular size but I don't want
to lie.
I'm 5'7 and was 116 but am now 120 .
At this weight I'm healthy.
But I swear she wants me to be fat a**
What should I do?
Tell her to leave me alone I'm fine?
Or lie & take the money?
Remember she'll see me at some point.
So I can't lie too much.

At 5'7" 120-130 depending on bone structure and activity level are fine. Your Mom is reacting to the media - every day the TV blares how the young women of today are too (skinny/overweight) and the parent has the ultimate responsibility if their child starves /collapses from heart attack. It stinks! The real thing to look at though is why does your mom think you are too thin? Ask her. Then explain to her that you eat well, are active and are at an acceptable weight according to your health professional and not to worry. She doesn't want you to be a "Fat A**" - she does want you to be healthy and happy. BTW if she complains about you being 116 and you are now 120 you are rightfully entitled to $400 by her offer. Good Luck!

Telling your mother that you have gained weight when you have not would not be honest. Tell your mother that if she is concerned about your weight you will go to the doctor for a physical if she will foot the bill. The doctor's report will clear the air. If you are healthy have the doctor put it in writing. The report will back you up and should get your mother off of your back.

You need to have an honest, face to face talk wioth her and ask her why she thinks that you have an eating disorder. Tell her that you do not and you are healthy. Even show her BMI things on the computer and if that doesn't work, go to a doctor and ask them about the healty weight for someone your age and size.

Don't stoop to her bribe.

She could make you get on a scale, so don't lie!

Have her go with you to the doctor, THEY'll be able to say to her if you are at a healthy weight or not.
