im buying something from the internet
she lives in Vancouver and i live in Vermont
but i don't know how much money worth of stamps i have to put
like how many cents?

If you take it to the post office, they will weigh it for you and tell you how many stamps to put on.

to mail something from the US to Canada you have to fill out a customs form and declare the value of the item you are shipping plus give a description of what is in the package your local post off ice can help you determine the proper postage without a customs from your package will be held at the border for inspection I have sent things to Canada and had this happen to me Normally take about a week for delivery but my customs form was lost and it took the person i shipped too almost 3 weeks

Its roughly 0.60 cents. Per ounce to Canada .0.90 cents over seas

You just need one if it is for the right amount. I am sure the Post has a website. It depends on the size and weight of the envelope.
