my programs got wiped out of my computer including all of my drivers. I managed to get most of them back but I still can't play dvd's. Don't know what driver to dl to make it work

You need a DVD playing program such as Windows Media Player 11 or Power DVD

You need a program that plays DVD's. A driver is no good if it doesn't have a program attached to it. Download a video playing program, (VLC Media Player is an excellent choice) and you have your drivers.

you need a dvd player program. like powerdvd or something that has all the plugins for dvd movies.

Your windows media player probably was compromised. I suggest you download the VLC Player and make it your default player and see if that fixes your problem.
