That would be normal for dentists to talk while working on someone's teeth. They want to find out how the patient's teeth is. When it comes to golf I would ignore like I am asleep. It is also normal for the dentist to go and play golf. Now whether my dentist plays golf I don't know. I would assume all dentist do.

Was at the dentist last week and she kept asking me questions when she knew I couldn't possibly answer because I had a drill in my mouth.

I've been going to my Dentist my whole life and he's constantly talking while he's working on me. At first I couldn't figure it but now I feel he talks to me to help keep my mind off of what he's doing so I won't get too nervous. He's keeping me preoccupied this way and maybe he just likes to talk too.

the people who clean your teeth tend to talk more than most dentists. it's annoying when they ask you all these questions and you have all this stuff in your mouth and cannot respond. It's like what are you trying to do to me? I can't speak...! lol

I hate dentists that talk while they're working. It's very annoying. Do they really expect you to answer? lol

yes, i think that's something they learn in dentistry school... i think their teachers are jaded and want the students to be hated by their patients when they become real dentists... so they teach them to talk to the patient while drilling teeth...
