Husbands don't generally think that way. They think taking out the garbage says "I love you." Watch for what he DOES. Men don't speak with words, they speak with actions. So he may be expressing the hell out of himself, you just ain't hearing it, because it isn't in words.

Only through sneaky manipulative acts.. and even then it depends on how malleable your husband is.
Point being: you married him the way he is.
You made your bed, now you gotta lie in it.
You'll be hard pressed to change someone.
If you wanted a gushy expressive romantic guy, you should have married one.

Sounds like he loosing interest or just becoming to complacent. Anything you can do will annoy the hell out of you...so just lay down the law with him. I was in a similar situation....not easy.

The other answers are funny, but in all seriousness, just ask him. Tell him you miss the romance, you'd love to get flowers, saying you look good means something to you, etc. --- men really want to please you, and they don't always realize that they're not doing a good job, so speak up!
