Ok so today i found out that Dumbledore from the Harry potter books is supposedley gay. One of my pals said that JK Rowling has been subtly hinting at his sexuality in the last two books but can anyone give me an example of this??

There is some inkling of this in DH, where Rita Skeeter talks about devoting a chapter in her book about Dumbledore to the Dumbledore/Harry relationship. This is not to say that there was anything improper--but that JKR did put out a hint.

Asking whether Dumbledore is gay is like asking whether JK Rowling is a bad writer....

ANSWER: Possibly both...but ultimately...WHO GIVES A SH*T.

Sports and Harry Potter have become pagan gods for what society sees as true. Did Peyton Manning say it? Then it must be true. Did JK Rowling say it? Then it must be true...

Nothing against either Peyton or JK as individuals or as stewards of God in their own way, but at the end of the day, I could give two sheets less whether they like milk or chocolate milk with their cereal. It's time America wakes up to this. Not waking up to the fact that we live in a divisive country --- everyone knows this --- but waking up to the fact that we live in a social paradigm of a 'somewhat cheery' divisive Disney World. Nothing gets accomplished at Disney World when people are too busy smiling.

I don't need Rowling's poor man back door expressionalism towards gay rights in the 7th book just as I don't need Peyton muggin for the Super Bowl ads either.

Think for yourself America!!! If you TRULY, TRULY, TRULY do think that Harry Potter...or the NFL...is your saving grace...if from extreme to the other...this is all you can consume your mind with...then this country has some serious, perhaps catastrophic issues to deal with in the next 30 years.

Harry and Peyton can't save that warped sense of mind. It ain't rocket science. 6 year olds are smart enough to grasp both Harry Potter and the rules of football. Which begs the question...and nothing against either of the two...but it still begs the question...

WHY IS OUR NATIONS YOUTH...NOW DEEMED TO BE AGES 45 AND UNDER....CONSUMED SO MUCH IN TRIFLING THINGS WHILE OUR POLITICAL LEADERS RUN WILD SCREWING US OVER???

I guess the answer to that question can be found by reading what I just wrote again...diversionary tactics.

The author herself has officially stated that Dumbledor is gay. The only part in the book that was slightly alluding to his orientation is his relationship with Grindelwald. While I don't think they ever were an actual couple, I believe Rowling said that Albus did have feelings for him. I also, personally, wondered about that guy (forgot his name) that was crying so hard at Dumbledor's funeral. But Rowling stated Albus was never seriously involved with someone after realizing how he'd let his personal feelings cloud his judgement on Grindelwald.

I have never read Harry Potter because I think it's stupid. But I think she did to try and sell more books by trying to get Gay people to buy them. Think if she really put hints in the book about him being gay somebody would of figured it out before she said it.
