Which companys are the best in this price range HP, Sony, .....or someting else?

For graphics, photo and video editing defiantly a MacBook. It's slightly above your price range. So buy a referb, and upgrade the memory yourself with cheaper third party RAM to save money.

go to tigerdirect.com and look through the laptop section. i would suggest getting a systemax. i have 3 computers from them, one being a laptop, and i love all of them.
