If I would be able to go anywhere, I'd pick someplace that people are seldom able to go, simply to have a unique and personal experience.

My personal choice would be Kerguelen Island, a large but very obscure island in the South Indian Ocean owned by France. Only a few hundred French researchers live and work there, but the island is about the size of Connecticut. And I'd hike on windy fields and beaches that no human being may ever have walked on before.

Well europe is probably the best ideal, because you get to see so many differant things on one trip. But i love aussie i have been there and it was pretty cool love real aussie beer victoria bitter.

Now the better question is if i had 30 grand cash would i spend it all on a trip. Only if i had 250 grand at home... I think i would take a much less expensive trip and save 20 grand.

I would try an economical trip through former Soviet countries and various Asian countries. Stay at hostels or rent rooms for a week or so at each destination. Either way with 30 grand you could travel for quite awhile pretty much anywhere you want.
