Besides morning sickness, bloating can be one of the worst symptoms of pregnancy. I know how you feel. Early on in this pregnancy I was already very bloated and retaining a lot of water. Even as early as week 6 my stomach was sticking out simply because it was full of air.
Ugghhh.
It's normal to have good days and bad. Some of it depends on what you ate....or drank...and sometimes it's just your pregnancy hormones.
I've started taking papaya enzymes or chewing beano (also a natural enzyme) with each main meal (not snacks). I also limit carbonated beverages because of the air bubbles. "They say" staying hydrated (lots of water) can actually help bloating.
If you are feeling ok, try to stay active. Walking helps alleve the bloated feeling. If all else fails, try Phazyme or Gas-X.
Do NOT cut back on salt. A pregnant woman's sodium needs are higher than other women. Instead, just increase water intake. Water retention, although bothersome, has a purpose in pregnancy. Your body (and baby) need a lot of extra fluid for increased blood volume and amniotic fluid.
Congrats!

I've been going though the same thing lately with my second pregnancy. I wouldn't worry about it. I've found www.babycenter.com to be a very useful tool in answering my questions about what's going on with my body - there is even a newsletter that you can sign up for that will send you an e-mail each week that tells you whats developing with your baby that week.

probably retaining more fluid with this baby. Try to get rid of the salt in your diet and drink a lot of water. I felt completly different with each on of my children. Every time is different. (maybe you are going to have a boy this time)

You could be carrying twins or have really bad circulation because of where the baby is sitting. Call your doctor, he/she will have the best answer for you!
