Precisely.

This is what prompted Ronald Reagan to force the FDA to reclassify ketchup as a"vegetable", 9even though the tomato is a considered a "fruit") becuase it was the only way his government could comply with Federal Nutrition Guidelines Reagan himself promoted.

On another quesiton about abortion, Brian mentioned something to the effect of "Simple, have the kids, then put them up for adoption", never thinking how humiliating it is for the orphan child to be forced to act like a trained puppy at the animal shelter, while his or her potential parents "shop" for compatible child.

I personally am of the opinion that if God wanted those childless couples to procreate and make more of themselves, they WOULD be having their own children.

There are HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of orphans in scores of state run institutions all across this country, all crammed full of kids, waiting to be fostered out or (musn't dare dream) actual adoption. Yet Brian's correct when he says childless couples go to China and Russia to adopt children. Many Russian children adopted to American couples are later found to need MASSIVE medical care, just to even make it in normal society, yet American couples go there by the thousands to pick Russin kids over US orphans. Why is that?

Could it be, the US orphans in the system now, suffer from a "surplus of melanin", perhaps?

And I still think it's a viable argument to bring the troops in Iraq home on the "Abortions in the 82nd trimester" argument....

I really do think he is the last of the best. Sure, a few are walking in his footsteps as far as perhaps style or tone, but none of them can take a current event/situation and do what Carlin did. Make it funny. By pointing out the silliness of things, he made us laugh and he made us think. 'Seven words' for example.. so true. Ahh I could go on..but those who understand - preaching to the converted anyway..those who don't...never will. Edit: Too late for that one Buk, it already has. But then again, kind of proves the point of 'will never get it.'

Here is a Take by The GREAT George Carlin, Titled: "The Owners of America" .. http://www.brasschecktv.com/page/154.html .. **At around the 3:00 minute mark, George Really Gets into it... at about the 2:40 mark, when Carlin Refers To, Speaks of "THEY", He Surely is Talking about The Israeli-ZIONIST-Jews, since in FACT that is who OWNS and Controls the MAJORITY of U.S. Mass Media. http://cytations.blogspot.com/2005/11/americas-real-most-wanted.html

George Carlin has been "right" on so many issues such as this, he autta be president by now. But then again, commonsense has never been the strong point when it comes to politics in the U.S.

You will never get a Rep/Con to address their argument about how all life is sacred, but when it's a poor family's child who is dying they no longer feel that the life is sacred because the family's' "laziness" dis-qualifies them in the Con/Reps' eye as well as Gods. It makes absolutely no sense.

He's George Carlin. A man who can't talk without adding colorful metaphors to everything.

He'd really impress me if he (and other) Libs put All their Money where their mouths were.

But like them (other Libs) he only talks about giving.

george carlin is a comedian and things said in concerts albums or appearances are obviously said with promoting his craft and proffesion in mind. as for clarifying a liberals ability to discern between reality and abstract comedic thought as this question proposes, i think your question coupled with the latest congressional blunders from the pelosi reid regime, speaks volumes without comment from me as to whether he, and obviously you, are right or not.

No. That's a really funny joke. But it's just a joke. If you spend too much time learning about politics from comedians, you'll never discover anything useful.
