My best advice to you is to act! Get involved in amateur dramatics, gain experience, contacts etc. Also, go to see professional plays, watch them in action. Highly recommend seeing an RSC production is Stratford as there is no better way to hone your craft than to watch the masters. Read Constantin Stanalavski's 'An Actor Prepares', this should be your bible and motto. Other than that, find an agent, look for extra work, go to auditions and remember 'There are no small parts only small actors'. Laurence Olivier, possibly the greatest actor to have ever 'treaded the boards' said that whether you're the leading role in the play or the third spear carrier from the left or the cardboard sheep you have to give the performance your all. The audience could be looking anywhere and you need to create a subtext for that part, however small. You need to characterise that part as much as you would if you were the star of the play. It may be frustrating at first but it will ultimately pay dividends. It is not an easy profession and its never as glamorous as it appears to be and you have to be very tough skinned and willing to take the rough with the smooth. If its dream, you go get it. How you choose to do that is entirely up to you...

I'm in the same postion as you I'm almost 13 and I've been taking classes which help so much in life in things I wouldn't expect. I think you should take classes and look up info on the internet and learn some things about acting thats what I've been doing. One thing I find thats helping in acting is to learn about improvisation which is one of the funniest types of acting and a great way to learn acting! Good Luck!!!

15?

You are late, my man!

You should have been volunteering to be on stage when you were in grade 1!

Catch up now, you are late but not too late. Volunteer to be in every production you can. Be anything that's available, as long as you get on stage,

Nothing can prepare you for the stage but the stage.

Then you can worry about classes and agents. First, get on stage.
