Homemade, and they were far superior to what you can buy in a store.
They were also made with love.

I never had homemade, I had one or two store bought, but mostly my costumes were old gnarly clothes and a tiara, I went many years as the "paper bag princess" or "cinderella".

Store bought. My mother didn't have the time to make costumes. I remember one that I really liked. It was a Chinese princess. I thought I was beautiful in it.

Store Bought my mom didn't have the time to sit there to make costumes for my twin uncles ....me ..and My two cousins....It was a Barbie Costume I loved it....

my mom made awesome homemade costumes, my favorite was probably the year I was a witch, she even did face putty and made o long ugly witches nose with hairs in it and all, it was awesome, and the tooth fairy one was good too!

home made. i loved being a witch. had that costume for yeaaaaarrrrrrssss. loved that
now i'm still a witch, but i look better in my purple/black dress
