The Red sox won fair and square, but the day off didnt help Cleveland any, it did slow down the momentum..and this series swayed a lot on momentum, and I can never remember having a 3 game set interrupted before. but it cant detract from the fact that the Tribe still had to win a game. It shouldnt be used as an excuse...but I do hope that in the future that they will not have a dayoff in a 3 game homestand...I know its for TV, but lets go back to the old format...2-3-2 and no days off except for travel days

The best team won the series. The day off did have a negative effect on the Indians - but they had their opportunities to win 1 more to finish the Sox. Their lack of experience, and the Sox getting hot at the right time didn't allow that to happen.

Good run by the Indians though, a very successful season in Cleveland.

The Red Sox did win fair and square.

But, if you ask C.C. Sabathia, the kick money he got before Game 5 was because he won a local radio contest, not because some Red Sox fanatic back east paid him off with a bribe.

Just as long as that's clear, okay?

It seems to me that the Red Sox had the same day off and they came out in good shape. I can't believe that even the Indians would sign up to that excuse.

It certinley didn't help. It stoped the momentum and pushed it back to Boston. This isn't a good excuse though. The Red Sox won fair and square(I think).

I don't think that the extra day off changed a thing. They would have faced Beckett either way and still wouldn't have been able to hit him!!!

All these days off suck but both teams are affected the same.

Absolutely, it was one of three things that screwed them over -- the other two being Carmona and Sabathia.
