Candy and travel sized medicine (like those Advil packets that have 2 pill in it). Also, make sure you have some gas containers and other stuff (like oil) that people would need if they broke down near your store. Also, not trying to be gross, but almost everytime I go to a convenience store, someone's buying condoms.

If you have no idea what to sell, you had better do some research before renting space, much less openning your store.
Every locale has its own particular wants and needs; although beer tends to be universal across the US, many areas have "blue laws" that prohibit the sale of alcohol during certain days and hours. Also, what sells in one area, may not do so well in another.
And, if you don't know *what* to sell, I'd hate to think how you're going to price the goods!

You should try candy bars, chips, small cakes, peanuts, pretzels, and small clothing items, like baseball caps. Good Luck! I hope you make lots of money. Oh, and don't forget water and ice.
