In World Of Warcraft, what level can you get Epic Mounts at? Because I think you can only get them if you have the Burning Crusade expansion pack. But my friend says you can get them without it somewhere down below in the Eastern Kingdoms. I would really like to know because I really want one and I don't have the expansion pack so can you guys please tell me? Thanks.

these are the required levels in which to purchase the riding skills.
land mount: level 40 (60% run increase)
swift land mount: level 60 (100% run increase)
flying mount: level 70* (60% flying speed, 100% run increase)
swift flying mount: level 70 (380% flying speed, 100% run increase)
*Druids can train the skill "Flight Form" at level 68, giving them an instant cast flight (outside combat)
It is possible to get your mount before you get to said level, but in order to ride it you need to purchase the skill as well so getting the mount through purchase or drop would be pointless unless you bought the skill

You can get an epic land mount at the same place you got your basic land mount. You need to be level 60 and have between 700 and 900 gold (depends on your reputation level).
You cannot, however, get a flying mount, either basic or epic, without the expansion pack. Perhaps that is what your friend meant.

An Epic Ground mount (Horse, Robo Chicken, Kodo and the like) is available at lvl 60 with just the basic game.
An Epic Flying mount (Griffin or Bat thingy the horde gets) is a lvl 70 item that you have to have BC for (first it is only available in outland, and also 60 is the lvl cap without BC)

Yes you need the burning crusade expansion to get a flight mount and there is only epic monts, no basic mounts which sucks because there way too expencive unless you get one from a monster drop or finish a raid quest in outland.
your best chance is to get the expansion pack, get the mining and jewlcrafting skills, make money and then get your mount

"EPIC" has become sketchy...I was out of game for a month before the release of burning crusade when I returned my gear was substandard...It was because they had begun the ramp-up to the burning crusade and the level cap increase.
with the coming increase to level eighty...I would start calling it a 100% speed increase mount or a flying mount.

well, there's epic flying and there's epic ground mounts. Epic flying is only in the outland. Epic ground is found in the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor. you can obtain them at level 60.
