I'm doing a health project on disorders and I've chosen to do it on social anxiety. I'm planning on doing a presentation with a video so I need a clip where it shows one of the characters experience social anxiety.

I'm not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for, but Dianne Wiest's character (Annie, I think?) in I Am Sam has something like that.

As others have suggested, "What About Bob?" or try "High Anxiety" Mel Brooks's take on mental disorders ( including social anxiety) Also "As Good As It Gets"

It is never said flat out.. and he is not the main character.. but the character of Pike Dexter .. he has a few people he let's near him, but they are a buffer zone.. basically they keep people away because he's extremely not comfortable interacting.. The actor did an amazing job.
