Not all conservatives are convinced of that just the ones who like to make broad generalizations.
Not all conservatives are against abortion either.
Most of the voting majority are actually moderates not far right or far to the left.

Attached is a mass of polling data showing that (among other things) Republicans had a more pro-life position and Democrats had a more pro-choice position, pretty much across the board:

This is not to say that one party is 100% for either position, though. But the trends are clear.

Well, I don't know of any pro-choice conservatives, although there are (or used to be) many pro-choice Republicans. So, most people who are pro-choice probably consider themselves liberal to moderate. The question really should be why they think liberals "promote" abortion, when their opposition to contraception will lead to more unwanted pregnancies and more abortions.

Because they're too ignorant to realize that life is comples. The world is not black and white, and there are many more "varieties of people" in the U.S. than "conservatives" and "liberals." The world is made of gradations, and the color is grey.

Who knows. the other question is why do they think ALL liberals support it?. I know many liberals who dont agree with it. also, support is such a bad term to use in that context, because I, for one, dont "support" it, but I beleive it is every womens right to have that choice and would never judge someone who had one!!!!

Because conservatives are typically not very good at lateral thinking skills,

and they enjoy finding narrow black and white rules for everything, even when they have to ignore reality to do it. They would rather keep the rules than change the rules to fit the truth.

It's a dumb argument...politicians may or may not support stances, but the people who have abortions know no political party.

Because anyone who has a differing view than that of a Conservative they are automatically a "liberal."

For the same reason you are convinced some conservatives believe this.
