"Caracas - Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez slammed the nation's Roman Catholic Church leadership as "morally unacceptable" late on Sunday for criticizing his proposal to rewrite the constitution to scrap term limits."

I wouldn't be surprised if Jimmy would endorse this.

I'd expect it from him.

Here's one more Chavez story too: http://www.news24.com/News24/World/News/0,,2-10-1462_2165535,00.html

GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Why pray tell has trade grown so much with Venezula under Bushco, it's all smoke and mirrors to get fools (does that title fit you bro) to not see the forest for the trees

Venezuela’s oil exports, of course, account for the bulk of that trade, as the country remains the fourth largest oil supplier to the United States. Pulled largely by those rising oil revenues, trade climbed 36 percent in 2005, to $40.4 billion, the fastest growth in cargo value among America’s top 20 trading partners, according to WorldCity, a Miami company that closely tracks American trade.

But American companies are also benefiting, as Venezuela’s thirst for American products like cars, construction machinery and computers has steadily grown, rising to $6.4 billion last year, from $4.8 billion a year earlier....

I suppose there's two components to the question - first, are poor people who accept items from "bad people" or "enemies of the US" ever traitors?, and second, if so, does Chavez qualify as being "bad enough"? As for the first part of the question, maybe "dupes" is a better term. There doesn't seem to be an intent to harm the US in accepting the oil. As for the second, the US and Venezuela are not at war. As much as I don't like Chavez, the US has not imposed any kind of trade embargo or anything. and we're not presently at war. Traitors? No. But it's still not a good thing to do. It gives a repressive dictator publicity points.

For the un educated and refuse to hear... Jimmy may hold a dear spot in some eyes yet he is as thick as any thief among them. Pardoned WJClinton way back in 1977. Hillary was on his Legal Corporation Board of Directors later that year. Rose donations from 5 to 6 figures. As Reagan investigated...

SO we go way back. Lately however, age is showing. IN Darfur and then on Wolf Blitzer he even blasted Bubba for intentionally not advancing peace when he had the chance. He is talking fork tongue. While on the Clinton retirement plan of book & concert tours. Bad Jimmy!

Will he go where Hillary has already been? Into the arms of the wanna be beast , the Castro protege, Hugo?? Was there not a Hurricane named Hugo? Perhaps he confused Katrina and wonderful works with New Orleans housing???

I think he needs to go back to peanut farming. Right now he is making a mess of things. I am just way curious why he is flashing some negative vibes the Clinton Machine way.

Bless you also. BTW you are up on the MS-13 and Russian subs so forth? Chavez has been one busy boy. Thanks for the links I will read thoroughly now.

Thank God that Jimmy Carter only lasted one term as president and that Ronald Reagan came to the rescue. Jimmy Carter goes for anything that is against the US because he still has not gotten over his failed administration.

Lets see if memory serves me correctly: Jimbo let 52 Americans suffer in the hands of Iranian captors for 444 days, and yet, with in 2 hours after Reagan swore in, "Suddenly the 52 Americans were released, as a show of faith". (Show of faith, my asz, to show that the captors did not want the hell blown out of them) !!
Also, an American company's employees, were also taken 'hostage', and that NOBLE ALL AMERICAN PATRIOT, hired, and paid for OUT OF THIS OWN POCKED, an independent group of men who went in and "LIBERATED" that companies employees, while Jimbo would NOT allow the same Patriot American to 'liberate' the 52 Americans !!!!!!
"Such action might induce an ill feeling, among our "Friends"!!!
Every one seemed to poke fun at Jimbo's brother Billy, however, Billy was just a younger Jimbo!!!
BTW, Jimbo's brother was named 'Billy', and I wonder about another "Bill" who has had a connection with the White House.
Are the names,Billy and Bill, any indication of Ex-Presidents true political feeling's??

It would seem so. I wonder what Chavez thinks of Jimmy Carter in bed, and vise-versa.
Perhaps Michael Moore can tell us?

As a Dem and as an American I am both ashamed and disappointed at Pres Carter. It is my understanding that as many as 15 board members of the Carter Presidential Institution(not the right name) have resigned in disgust after learning of his racist publication.
