Sure, why not ?? You will need to reduce any increased physical activity with the affected foot but, you can still work the upper body and maybe still do some cardio. You can still do any ( except swimming) cardio exercise as long as you keep the walking cast on (?? is it an air cast). Keep any cardio exercises to a minimum. If you belong to a gym, ask a trainer which cardio exercises that you will be able to do. I hope that this helps and a speedy recovery. I recently had left rotator cuff surgery and, I was unable to stick to my exercise routine, not easy to do. I hope that this helps some.

With tendonitis, its pretty obvious what you can and can't do - if it hurts don't do it, if it doesn't hurt (or cause things to hurt later) - its OK. You can exercise all parts of your body that don't aggravate the tendons in your foot - this includes straight leg raises, and maybe even leg extensions, depending on which tendons are involved.

Absolutely... you should modify your workout routine so you work your upper body only but still continue to hit the gym. If you stop going altogether, starting up again after you are healed will be really tough.
