Stopped taking birth control pills in May and I haven't had a period since then. Is this normal? I'm not pregnant, I have taken about fifty pregnancy test, but all come back negative. How long will it take me to start my period?

Hi Reese,
Is there a way you can see a different dr in the same practice as your primary healthcare physician. It seems you should get a second opinion on why you have not gotten your period yet.
Are you exercising a lot? Have you lost a lot of weight or have really low body fat? Are you eating properly or not much at all? Those things can change your hormone balance. At this point, it would be wise for your dr to order blood tests.

Go to the doctor. Your body might just need some more time to regulate back to pre-pill.

You also might be pregnant and not testing positive without a blood test. I didn't test positive for 4 moths with my daughter. I did test positive with the blood test at the doctors and the next morning a neg. home result. It just worked out that way.

Regardless, you need to go to the doctor to just make sure that you are OK!!!!

This depends on your body and the type of birth control you were on. Make an appointment with your doctor. Or, at the very least, talk to your pharmacist. I know several pharmacists. And when it comes to prescription drugs, they are usually at least as well informed as the doctors.

I don't think that is normal, I've never been on the pill or anything though.
