Oh come on you know you love saying it just to get a rise out of 'em! Right know your giggling in a sinister fashion.

It's a matter of being wrong or right. In most cases, people prefer being right... and they really dislike it when they're proved wrong. I can handle it and look at it as a learning experience, but if someone says to me, "I told you so!" and they aren't kidding, I'd be pretty mad. I can take a joke better than a lot of people, but I don't like it when my mistakes are rubbed in my face; who does? Being upset when some isn't joking when they say 'Told ya so.' is totally justified as long as they don't STAY upset with the person, yeah?

Because usually an overbearing, bossy person has told them not to do something, so they have to prove they can do it on their own. The one saying, "I told you so" not only had to point out the person's failure, but they obviously sat back and watched the person's failure take place just to come back and rub it in their face instead simply allowing a person to grow on their own without further humiliating them.

Because even if you were right, it doesn't change the outcome. It's like, it's over with and done, no need to show off the fact that you wer right! It doesn't benefit anybody!

The comment 'I told you so ' is of no particular significance..(except to the person who says it.)who is implying that he or she was right..
