How different would they appear to the public eye?

If one is filtered then it would look like it was closed and the other would look like it is open, or at least that is how it is supposed to look to anyone but you and the unfiltered few. Aside from that I really haven't a clue. It depends on you and your tastes as to what will be seen.

As it was pointed out to me, I forgot to answer the question.

I do that on occasions, misread the question.

I think my first site would be dark and mysterious but open to all who found that appealing that way they could contact me and annoy me and just make me feel part of something larger than myself, like jacking into all their lives all at once.

The other would be light and open and completely free of those who might take away from my inner piece and happiness, but for the one who would make me happiest I would never shut her out. Of course with my luck she would probably ignore the blog and my happiness would be marred forever. And hen bright and happy would change to ice, hard and cold and unable to be openned ever again.

But, that is just the way I have always been, there but not there and at heart cold and unyielding in my beliefs.

There would be an immense difference to the public eye, but very little to those who looked closely. It takes a significant effort to continually adjust phrasing to avoid offending those who would like nothing better than to be offended. If nobody was reading it but me, I wouldn't make that effort.

This is the big difference between shock jocks and comedians. The former phrase things to try to offend, the latter phrase things to try to amuse. It may be the same content, but the audience gets what they're looking for out of it. In private I can be very offensive, even when I'm saying the same things I would in public, but with fewer words.

If you just replace the word blogs with Selfs , then read your question, and it will create the hell for me, same effect of blog, difficult to manage .

They'd look exactly the same...I wouldn't want people being innapropriate in their comments about my blog, and I wouldn't be innapropriate with what I blog about.

They would be essentially the same.
I'm not a perv, and I'm not going to be putting explicit pictures or descriptives on either page.
