an email server is a computer that directs mail to other computers and receives emails.

a catch all is an account that will receive emails that have been sent to an email address that doesnt exists.

e.g.

meme@email.com is registered but an email is sent to youyou@email.com that is not registered, the catch all will receive this email for you
