If u consider by weight, off course 1 ton of lead is heavier..
If u consider by mass (on Earth or in Space), both are equal..

the reason why i directed u to his site is because sometimes him and paul have a game called will it float where they have a heavy object and a light weight object. its pretty fun and nobody else has a skit like that on late night tv.
