so the stove i bought didn't just plug in so we've changed the wall plug
the concern is whether it's going to overpower the 30 amp fuse
someone help!

You ust have a piece of paper on the back of your stove, probably inside the connection cover, that rated the stove.

Most electric ranges are rated for 30 amps or less. I don't think you have any worry about the 30 amp circuit!!

Your stove will have a Nameplate specifying the
proper voltage and amperage of the supply circuit.
If it came with a cord & plug, the matching outlet
will tell you the required circuit.
If you've changed to a larger outlet, you're likely in
trouble.
If you have 240V. wiring and the nameplate reads more than 5700 W., (5.7KW.) you should have a
heavier circuit than your present 30A.
