Is is popular but not as popular as the winter football codes.
Keep in mind each Ausrtalian city gets just 1 international test match and a couple of ODI's per year.
That's maybe 8 days cricket.
In a city like Melbourne that can equate to maybe half a million spectators which would be called 'popular' but not as popular as AFL where well over 150,000 go to games every week for 6 months of the year.

I don't think so. They are good but wvwn look at the fans, especially with India. Hardly a quarter of the benches are filled with them.

I have chatted with a few Aussie girls & boys & they have said that it isn't that popular compared to football & rugby.
I am an Indian so i can't comment on that. I have never been to Australia.
