I think some human lives will end then, from heart disease, starvation, cancer, AIDS, floods, exposure, and more. But I think that the race will go on. Why wouldn't it? Maybe because some silly prophecy says so, or because an aztec calendar stopped there? That's more likely because they ran out of space on the stone, is all.
