I mean I know we should layer our clothing when it's chilly, but how many layers would it take to keep you in a place like this? Beautiful but brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Having lived in Sweden, I can assure you of one thing-- at about 25F, it is downright warm in the ice hotel. The outdoor conditions are typically below 0F, and the wind chill sometimes makes it dangerous to be outside (I've experienced 45F below 0).
The upsides are viewing the aurora borealis and going for sleigh rides if it's warm enough outdoors.
You won't need any layers other than longjohns, a fleece top, and a calf-length Polarguard or down coat. Be sure to wear waterproof sheepskin-lined boots with crepe soles and no heel. A good wool hat and scarf are best. Acrylic won't work.

I am too southern for all that cold. I did spend winters in Chicago and northern Wisconsin as a kid, but can't stand it here when it is in the teens. It is beautiful to look at, but I will stick to my nice warm bed. If I used the electric blanket on the ice block, I would drownin my sleep

I could, I run the a/c most of the year and set as low as it can go. I have even slept with the bedroom window open to find a snow drift butted up against my face. My children think I'm nuts, they can't stand to be in my bedroom. Oh, and I have a fan on too.

My blood is too southern but it is beautiful. I wish I could stand the cold enough to go ice fishing in Wisconsin with my daughter just once. My stepdaughter just told me are having a cold front wednesday--there will be a high of 70.

Looks like a grand place to visit. Never could sleep on a hard ice bed now that I got used to my tempur pedic foam one. And these hot flashes for me too would not be a good thing.

Below 60 and sleep when legs don't cramp, but don't rest. Think I saw what you're taking about on news once years back, and amazed it is still around. They have to pay me to stay part of a day.

I am the original tent heater for Omar, if I snugged up in one it would be shaved ice in a heartbeat. On rare occasions I am freezing most of the time I am radiating heat, I have had people tell me they can feel heat coming from me and my aura is (spooky) red.

It's beautiful. But too cold for my taste. I have enough
trouble with the winters here in the mid-Atlantic states.
The older I get, the harder it is to deal with the cold.

No, I haven't. It looks beautiful though, I'd like to see that. Thanks for the link.
I just thought-I'd sure hate to have a hot flash while I was there, it could bring the whole building down, lol
