Boil some water and pour it down the drain. After that is done pour some bleach down the drain to clean out whatever they were after.
Evey week or so run some cut lemons down the disposal to kill off what ever may be growing in you disposal as well as kill the stink coming out of the drain.

Yeah I would try the bleach thing. You can also get these packets called disposal care that you put in the sink that foam up and clean it out. I would do that after the bleach is been fully rinsed from the sink.

I believe we refer to them as maggots. They are hard to kill (especially by chemical means). Typically, you need to make sure they are squashed. Just keep using the disposal and you'll be ok.

I would flush it out with bleach water. That should kill anything like that.
