Actor's don't have portfolios. Actors have 8x10 headshots. Sometimes more than one look and your agent will decide which one to send out depepnding on what the CD is looking for. You have your resume with all your experience listed and you have a reel available upon request with clips of your professional work. Usually it's a VHS or DVD that you mass produce using screen shots and scenes from projects that you've worked on. This is not a homemade tape of you doing a monologue or a scene, but something professionaly done.

You don't need a portfolio for acting. Only "acting schools" who want to make money producing an unnecessary portfolio for you will tell you that you need one.
You need a good headshot and resume (list of your training and experience).

In an acting portfolio you need professional head shots, a well done resume, and a good monologue.

someone should tell amy estelle she got ripped off.
Actors have to have a headshot and resume. Sometimes it is helpful to have a scrapbook of other headshots of you in character for different kinds of roles (other looks),
