No. But I do think history will be good to him. He will be appreciated more as the years go by.

BTW, Kim, that is an old and tired line. Please stop.

People who say he is the worst president ever are obviously very young and inexperienced.

Rabid dogs see enemies everywhere. I don't think you could get consensus on who the Greatest President of all time was, a couple contenders come to mind, Abe, Washington, FDR...

GW won't be on the list, but neither will he be on the worst president of all time list in 100 years. Most hated? Well, at present, sure. But long term consequences are what a President leaves behind, and long term means more than 10 years.....lets check back in 50 and measure his impact on the Union.

To look at the "thumbs up" and "thumbs down" on the answers here, you would think that Bush enjoys something like a 50% very high approval rating among the public.

Something really stinks here, if you consider the truth..
Bush's approval at new low in Reuters: 24 percent
http://weblogs.baltimoresun.com/news/politics/blog/2007/10/bushs_approval_at_new_low_in_r.html

Especially since these boards are accessible internationally, and Bush's approval is even lower outside the U.S.!

Aside from the 24% of die-hards that you might see here, what explains the difference in numbers here on Yahoo! Answers? Have a number of zealots for Bush created multiple aliases for themselves, and are they swarming these boards in a frenzy, giving pro-Bush comments "thumbs up" and anything criticizing Bush "thumbs down?"

Can you imagine what kind of twisted, demonic energy it would take to go through that? Of course, another possibility is, given the corporate spin and lies promoting the Bush agenda in some of the mainstream news media (especially Fox), and paid for "news stories" which are basically advertisements for this agenda, planted reporters asking softball questions to Bush (remember Jeff Gannon?)... the other possibility is that these people are actually PAID to try and make Bush look good...

Good luck with that. People like Sean Hannity and Bill O'Reilly might still be on the airwaves, dishing out the Kool-Aid, but fewer and fewer of the people are drinking it anymore.

Bush asking for yet another 46 billion dollars now for his wars - total projected cost something like 2 trillion dollars now - and the U.S. dollar continues its slide.

Great president, my ****. Illegitimate, megalomaniacal, criminal, incompetent jackass is more like it.

Don't know.
Once he is out of office and time has past and less emotions are flying around about him will be the time to study if he was a good president or not.

Those who think one way or the other are very poor historians.

My guess he will wind up in the middle of pack.

Well, I wouldnt say "EVER".... but I really do think he's doing a lot for our country, safety, freedom, and military.

My dad, brother, and husband are all in the military (active duty) and just since Bush has been in office we have "reaped the benefits"... President Bush has really done a lot for us from paying active duty members more to building better housing for the military members and their families

I also completely support the war in Iraq and his efforts in the Middle East.

Honestly, I think its wrong for people to judge the government at this point because we only hear and see whats on the news. We will never know all of the details about the war in Iraq... unless you know the president personally, you cant make character judgements about him. The media gives us what the media wants us to know. You cant make an accurate judgement based on that... if you do, you make yourself look ignorant

No. But, I also don't think he is the worst. Unfortunately, we have too many all or nothing types that lost most of their objectivity sometime in the past 6 years.

You've got to be kidding. You know the sad thing is that he has cause so many people to hate him that he has practically handed the presidency to the democrats. If you think Bush has messed things up, just imagine how bad it will get if Hillary gets elected. God help us.
