Yes, you get notification that you got one point.
I know because sometimes, as I log on, I'm notified that I got a point because one of my answers got a thumb up. The problem is they don't tell you which answer it was.

No, every once in awhile I try and go back and look, but it's boring and I could be answering questions instead, so I never know how popular or unpopular my answers are.
