Peyton Manning is the easy answer here, but let's break this down. When Peyton Manning came into the league Marvin Harrison, Tarik Glenn, and Marshall Faulk (HALL OF FAMERS) were already on the team not to mention Tom Moore an offensive genious. Then make a trade to get Edgerrin James in the draft, which in turn led to Reggie Wayne who would be a number 1 receiver on just about any other team. Peyton Manning has had an easy road to haul with the talent around him and the consistency in the coaching staff. Tom Brady to me is the best QB maybe ever. This year is the first year he has had real talent at the WR position and what that offense is doing is just plain sick. They are on pace to shatter the NFL scoring mark for a team, and Brady is on pace to break every passing record for a single season. Let's rewind though, and look at what he's done with basically #3 and #4 receivers his entire career(with the exception of injury prone Deion Branch). The guy steps in for a Hall Of Fame QB in his rookie season and wins the Super Bowl with a RB by the name of Antowain Smith and his best WR being Troy Brown. He's the essence of what it means to be a leader and a champion. 3 Super Bowl rings in his first 7 years in the league and well on his way to number 4 this year. Do you think if Tom Brady was a Colt and Manning was a Patriot that there would ever be a debate? We are fortunate to watch these two field generals, but Tom Brady has to be the best of the bunch, and quite possibly of all-time.
Cowboy- Tom Brady does call his own plays just so that you know. And another note, who has Peyton Manning had to lead
Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, Edgerrin James? Come on, Tom Brady is more of a leader than Peyton could ever be. I'm not denying Peyton Manning's numbers I just don't think the would have put up theses numbers without the talent he has had around him. Brady is going to smash every single season passing record this year because he finally has talent! Over the next few seasons you will clearly see that Manning is just a step behind Brady. Good talk

How convenient.. You ask this question right after Peyton has the worst game in his nfl career. No matter how great a quarterback is, they are capable of having a bad game like this and earlier this season Tony romo(6 turnovers). That being said, I still think Peyton is the best quarterback in the league. You can't say "tom brady is better, look he led his team to 3 super bowls." It's true he did that, but that's because he had the New England Patriots as his team. If Brady had the Indianapolis colts the previous years, I certainly doubt he would have had as much success. Tom brady has the luxury of arguably the best receiver in the nfl. He just randomly throws up a ball in Randy's vicinity and Moss does his magic. It's not because Tom threw it with precision, but it's more because of how good Randy is. ok time to go, enjoy my rant.

My question to everyone who picked Brady is, in what way is he better?
He's had seven good games against mostly losing opponents, and he is suddenly on track to be better than Peyton. Forgive me if I find that humorous.
Statistically, Brady is not even in the same class.
Leadership wise, he's not even close.
Peyton is more than a good passer, he is a true football field general, able to read defenses and call his own plays. Brady can't do that.
Not to mention that Peyton is breaking new records every year, and is set to break one of Johnny Unitas' tonight.
Before putting Brady on a pedestal, do a little research into what each of these men have accomplished, and you will see that it is not even close.
Peyton Manning is in a class by himself.

I'd say Brady right now. But watch Manning in the future. He is very talented and calls most of his own plays, which Brady does not do.

I would say that they are both very good, but I would give the edge to Tom Brady, as he is showing what he can do when he has a really good group of receivers working with him.

I think it's Brady hands down but to be fair, give Peyton Manning a few seasons with below average wide receivers and see how many Super Bowl rings he can win then.

Its obviously impossible to provide an objective answer, but based on what I've seen them each produce, relative to the weapons they have each had at their disposal, I think I would rather have Tom Brady on my team.
During the season, I think they are interchangeable, but when it comes to clutch situations, Brady tends to have his better games, while Manning tends to not perform as well.
This standard has been supported throughout their careers, even to the extent of last last year's playoffs. While it is true that Manning was able to win it all, he looked less than impressive against New England in the AFC championship.

Statistically Brady is beating Peyton in everything so I think the clear cut answer has to be Brady right now.
