Huckabee, hands down... I'm from Arkansas and can tell you straight up he's pretty middle of he road on politics.. sure he has a few of the hardcore beliefs being a Baptist Preacher and all... but he's not that bad. And to top it off... Obama was asked a similar question and said Huckabee as well... that says a lot for the guy.

I understand where you're coming from, but if you looked at Giuliani more closely, I think you would change your mind. For just one example, he has surrounded himself with extremely conservative foreign policy advisors, including Norman Podhoretz, and their main goal is to invade Iran and start another war.
Also, most New Yorkers can't stand him (and they should know) and the NYFD firefighters are running ads against him becuase they can't stand him. His own children don't speak to him. His second wife found out he was divorcing her by hearing it on TV, and he tried to move his girlfriend into the Mayor's house while his wife and kids were still living there (come to think of it, maybe that's why his kids don't speak to him).
These things do not represent a person of good principles and integrity that I would want in the White House.

Your choice of Giuliani should logically be mine too, but I would actually feel better with Mike Huckabee. He has the predictable slew of socially conservative views that would make me weep for the Supreme Court, but he also has a great personal story that has led him to a progressive health care posture. Further, he seems like a truly decent man, a bona fide nice guy, nothing two-faced about him.
After that, believe it or not (i.e. can I really be saying this?) my choice would be Ron Paul. He likes the Constitution!

I agree with you. If any of them were to become the next President, I would find Rudy Giuliani the most tolerable, mainly because of the liberal beliefs you just mentioned. Also, if Giuliani were to become the next Republican candidate, I wonder if this would indicate the party's shift away from its Religious Right base.

Guiliani would be my least favorite choice i think along with Fred Thompson. I think i would be most comfortable with Mike Huckabee. He is very sensible when it comes to the issues, not too hard core on anything and very level headed. I would not be too upset if he won...Ron Paul seems a little extreme, but i like his honesty and even most of his view...he and huckabee seem to be a little more in tune with the middle and working class.

I can't think of a one I would be comfortable with. Giuliani is a dangerous joke. I don't like any of their stances on foreign policy. Maybe Ron Paul.

I don't feel comfortable w/ any of them. True about Giuliani but he will turn our country into a police state, he was an awful mayor ( I was born & raised in NY), he allowed police brutality, police raping witnesses to his brutality he was a mess.

Well, I'm "unaffiliated" but I used to be a Democrat and never have voted for a Republican except in local elections. Giuliani would be my pick for a Republican if I thought one could win in the next election.

I wouldn't trust Guilliani farther than I could throw him, he says he'll pack the Supreme Court. How can you trust anybody that's been married three times? Huckabee is a right wing Bible thumper like Bush. We know how they govern (they hear voices). Mitt Romney is just another Dan Quayle. John McCain seems somwhat more trustworty than the others, but he would have four more wars
going in six months, and supports illegal aliens. Ron Paul would at least address the National Debt, but has some really whacky ideas about Social Security, etc. The actor is an actor.
I wouldn't be comfortable with any of them, but Ron Paul would address the debt and war, so I'll say he's the best..
