Why are CNN and FOX NEWS and similar news reporting stations so bias on their views on political parties?

I beleive they are keeping us from receiving the actual truth due to their political obligations. There should be a fair way to broadcast the news in a non bias way in my opinion

Anything that Rupert Murdock owns will have a very conservative, pro-Republican party bias, because that is his political affiliation and he makes sure that the networks that he owns take this stance. Editors who disagree with his potical views are fired.

I'm sure a lot of it is who runs the Network, i.e, Roger Ailes at Fox News.
