People label bands Satanic, the bands no not. If you are wondering about different bands from specific genres like death metal, black metal, etc, you should ask a different question. Bands/people like Marilyn Manson and Alice Cooper who were called Satanic are not in the slightest bit "satanic".

There are alot that aren't "basement bands" Here is a small list of some of my favorite satanic bands.

Deicide
Aeon
Black Dahlia Murder
Dominion
Paths of Possesion
VITAL REMAINS--may be the most satanic, god despising
band of all time.
In Flames
Dimmu Borgir

There are alot more out there.
All of these bands listed are signed to major record labels and have put multiple full length albums.

that really are satanic? or that were branded as satanic?
deicide, morbid angel, danzig, slayer, damn near every black metal band, a whole hell of a lot of death metal bands,

as for bands branded as the devils music, my great grand father accused my grand mother of listening to the "devils music" when she was listening to Sinatra, her generation accused the door, Beatles & elvis of being the "devils music"
but thankfully today thanx to dethmetal and black meteal my mom can accuse me of listening to the devils music with out sounding like a paraniod over dramatic house wife,

I have heard a lot of what might be considered satanic music and a lot of what might be considered christian music. But I have never heard anything considered atheist music. I'm not an atheist, but was asked to bring an example of atheist music to a soapbox preachers' meeting. I took Abby Road by the Beatles as a joke - and they believed it was satanic! lol

Sometimes people call bands Satanic when they aren't. Case in point, Alice Cooper, who is a Christian, The Eagles were accused of devil worship as well, so was The Beatles (Paul McCartney is Christian, and George Harrison sang positive things about Jesus), and many more. You can't believe anything extremist Christians tell you. I remember in the 80s when I was a kid, chruches were banning Master of the Universe and Dungeons and Dragons. That's just silly. He-Man isn't evil, Dungeons and Dragons players aren't devil worshipers, just nerds.

When I was a kid Bill Haley and the Comets and Buddy Holly and the Crickets were considered to be bands that sang the Devil's music.

i think if you pay attention to most current rap and hip hop you will find alot of things Satanic about it. Lust, Greed, superficialness, over consumption. I have nothing against Rap & Hiphop. Theres is some very good artist in that genre, I am talking specifically of most of the comercial music we are constatly bombarded with on the radio and tv.
How about alot of Racist country music. Racism is Satanic.
There are alot of aspects of our curent american culture that are Satanic...
Going on Yahoo and thinking about Satanic Sh.t, is satanic...

first, you would have to define satanic or devil music. when i was growing up as a teenager, a lot of older people back then thought elvis presley sang devil music.
