I would prob play it off because I would feel embarrassed for them if I told them the truth. Besides people with bad breath usually have it every day, you can tell them but it won't change anything.
Isn't it messed up when someone with bad breath tells you that someone else's breath stinks...lol.

I would probally be a little sneaky!
I wouldnt tell them because it would be to embarrasing but I would start saying something like
"oh my god I was talking to this guy the other day and he had the worst breath-you would think people would take care of them selves a little better"
and just make it fairly obvious I mean them without saying!
Guttless hey

That's a dam good question!!! And I've been in that situation. If it's someone I know really well, I'll just tell them that their breath is STA-DANK!! But if I really don't know them I'll just try not to take too many breaths and make very, very, very small talk.

It depends on who it is. If its a co-worker, I would probably play it off & offer them a piece of gum.
BUT.. if it's someone like my daughter, best friend, sister or another close friend or family member - they are getting talked about!!
The heart to heart convo I would have w/ my best friend: "Now we both know you can TASTE that stank in your mouth!! :P

I wouldn't tell them I'd be too chicken, unless it was someone from my family.
I still suggest that cities put "courtesy" mints around the city to prevent this from happen.

If they are considered a friend or an acquaintance I would tell them. If they are one of my patients or a business associate then I would play it off.
