I used to live in one of the Cleveland suburbs- Shaker Heights, and I believe the answer to your question is NO. The reason for this is because the suburbs which surround Cleveland are actually towns, and they all have their own school systems, mayors, police departments, fire departments, and municipal governments. The schools in Shaker, for example, are in NO way connected to the Cleveland city schools. They have their own school board and superintendent, as do most of the schools in the other suburbs around the city.
I know that there are some parochial and private schools in the downtown area, and these are likely to be your best bet if you don't want to send your son to public school there. Another alternative which you might think about is home schooling your son- Ohio law allows for home schooling if the parents want that and are qualified to do it. Charter schools are yet another option, and there are a few of those around down there as well.
I can't blame you for not wanting to send your son to public school in Cleveland- that system is in serious trouble, and has been for many years. There are reasons my sister and her family live in Shaker Heights, and why my nephews attend school there- and this is one of the main ones. Cleveland has the nickname "the poorest big city in America" for a reason as well. Good luck, I hope this helps.

No, for free public schooling you must enroll him in the school district you are paying taxes in. There are private schools available but they are expensive.
Kids don't live downtown. Only young professionals. If you need to live in Cleveland, look out in the West Park neighborhood west of W 150 St. They have the best schools in Cleveland. If you can live outside the city, look at Rocky River, Fairview Park and North Olmsted. They are all affordable, with better schools and have public transportation to downtown Cleveland.

No, you can't enroll your son in a suburban school. There are plenty of private schools and catholic schools you can send your son too. There are some Charter schools too, but don't send him to any Hope Academy schools they are the worst Charter school! My boyfriend is a teacher, I'll ask him and get back to you.

i've got lived in Strongsville because of the fact that 1985 yet grew up in Olmsted Falls. With Strongsville's get right of entry to to I-seventy one, the Ohio Turnpike as nicely as no longer very a techniques from I-480 or the airport, your husband would not spend too plenty time attending to the highways. i anticipate you practice someplace close to Medina so your go backward and forward would not be undesirable the two. and needless to say South Park Mall is robust right here. the faculties have continuously been rated nicely. the city has its rec middle and has good activities leagues on your toddlers. Our branch of the Cuyahoga County Public Library is relatively new and gorgeous. The housing is presented on your budget in extremely some areas of Strongsville, that's all risk-free. yet you would be spending greater like $175K for a house sufficiently massive for the 4 of you because of the fact that your toddlers are turning out to be and you may desire a customer mattress room as nicely. i could advise you check out Strongsville greater. i do no longer plan on shifting removed from it. i think of the mayor and council attempt to do the main suitable issues.

The Catholic schools are really good. I believe the Luthern churches have some good schools and there are some private schools. I believe some other school disctricts may let you enroll, but charge tuition.
