Humans are pattern seeking creatures. Also that means we can be gullible. So when someone makes a extraordinary claim, we should ask for extraordinary proof.

Astrology was founded in belief of many mythical deity images. It's been around for millennia in many contradicting forms. It seems to be sustained largely among women who selectively remember hits and like hearing about themselves. Scientific studies on different astrological scheme have found no ability to predict personality type, marital success or deaths.

There is nothing wrong in asking questions along with proof.
Do a little investigating, we all have the same Net. There is no need to blindly believe. Ask for evidence that can be tested not just personal stories. Astrology should work with out the need to "believe". Those here that "study" it for years still will not stick their necks out and provide the proof.

Astrology's claims can and have been tested. It fails to do any better than chance.

The type of horoscope you read in the newspaper is unreliable. That's because they are made to apply to a lot of people at once and only takes the sun sign into consideration without getting into houses or other planets. They can only get a vague idea of what is going on. Some things will apply to you and others will not.

The only way to get a reliable horoscope is to see an astrologer in person, but it can be very expensive (over a hundred dollars depending on what you want). You will need to know the exact time and place of your birth to make it as accurate as possible. You can actually do this all yourself, it's not that hard, but it will take a while to learn and it can be good sometimes to get someone else's perspective.

The thing to remember in astrology is that all prediction are based off of symbolism. So someone could look at your natal chart and tell you what is more likely to happen, but the ability to predict the future 100% accurately is never going to be there because it could manifest itself in other ways.

Good luck and try not to worry so much. :)

A "horoscope" is a map of where ALL the (major) planets and the moon were at the time and place of your birth. As for those Sun sign ONLY readings you see in newspapers and such, naturally they will only touch a small part of your life in general.

If you want an astrological reading for you in particular, you should have a qualified astrologer erect a birth chart for you and follow that.

Some astrologers charge a fee for their time and services. I've found that I get very reliable service and answers from the free sites on the internet. I've never spent any money on astrology except for the books and tools that I used before the internet came along.

I belive in horoscopes to a degree.

I dont think the daily horoscopes are true [Tho I read them anyways]

Because its not like 1/12 of the population is going to have the same day!

BUT

What I have found out about horoscopes is that what they say my personal traits are explain me down to a T

The horoscopes you read on line, in magazines or in newspapers are an overview of the average sign sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't. But if you have an astrologer or a good free website, that will do a daily forecast for your according to your natal chart, then lookout, because you will know exactly how to plan your day.
Here is the website I usehttp://www.adze.com/Horoscopes/form.html

Horoscopes just give you an overall review of what might happen or what you act like. Sometimes they're right, sometimes they're wrong. It depends on you yourself not others. Mine however are always right. It's like it's refering to only me half the time. Being a Sagittarius is very hard, people are always expecting less from you rather than more(and yes I said LESS not more)

Please don't believe it. Horoscopes are just so the astrologers have an easy way of making money. I read somewhere once that they make their predictions so vage and variable that they are likely to come true. The reason they don't always come true is because they are just made up. Don't be scared, no one can tell how your life is gonna go just by looking at the stars.

i don't think horoscopes are real... i don't think anyone can actually predict the future. have you noticed that horoscopes are far from being specific? personally, i believe horoscopes are not to be trusted but you can use them to guide you in your everyday life.

Personally? I don't believe horoscopes can predict the future or even your personality.

A lot of horoscopes are just generally too vague and could refer to just about anyone, they are carefully worded like that. Even if they were real, just live your life and stop worrying about what may happen. All it will do is stress you out.
