I am having a baby boy...the middle name is my dad's name and I'm sticking to it. My dad is very important in my life and I have to name my baby after my father because my dad will be a great part of my kid's life as well. So I had to find a nice, short, softer name for the first name since my dad's name is already long and strong. My dad's name is Leonardo...so my son's name will be Noah Leonardo...do you think it sounds good? would it be a respectable name at school? does it go together? the last name is Brito (pronounced Bree-to). Tell me what you think....thank you!!!

The last name might be Vasquez (the dad's name) or it might be my last name Brito. I am not sure if my son will be his dad's last name...there are several reasons why I'm thinking this, but please don't judge, just tell me if the name works. Thanks

Love it. Go with it. It's an excellent name, and dont listen to what people tell if you they say otherwise. It sounds good with the last name, and there is virtually nothing to tease about at school. If anything, it would be Brito, not Noah or Leonardo (how many kids are going to ask or care what his middle name is anyway?) so you dont have anything to worry about.

Noah Leonardo Brito
Noah Leonardo Vasquez
Yes they both sound good. I personally don't like how the middle name and last name (Brito) end with the same sound. But how often will someone other than yourself use your childs full name.
Noah Brito and Noah Vasquez both sound fine. Whichever last name you choose should work well.

I like it, and it is great to honor your Dad that way. It sounds masculine and traditional, without being too "adult", meaning I can imagina a little boy, a teen, and an adult with the name Noah Leonardo Brito. I like how the middle and last name both end in O, that flows nicely. Noah means peaceful, so that is perfect for your baby.

I think that name sounds fine. I think it is great that you are naming your son after your Dad. I am sure both your son and father will find a very special bond in sharing this unique name. It will give your son a real sense of meaning.
Most people will only really know your son by his first name, at least at school anyway.
I love to see the family names. My parents might as well have picked my name out of a hat. There is no significant meaning to it at all and neither name is unique. Both of my children have traditional (which is unique these days) and family (middle) names.
Congratulations!

I have to be honest and say that I prefer Noah Leodardo Brito. I love that you are using your dad's name in your son's! Stick to your guns if you really like this name! It's your son! Congratulations

I think it has a nice ring to it. And, kids can't make fun of the name Noah. It also sounds good with BOTH names. And, by the way, be exteremely careful when deciding on the last name - I let my son have his father's and now I am getting it changed - AND ITS $500. Trust me - if in doubt, go with your name. No judging here, girl. :) Congrats!

Yeah, that sounds like a good name. And just from my experience, I'd give him your last name. If you don't, you CANNOT go back and change it later. If you give him yours now, you can always change it later if needed. I know it may not seem like a big deal now, but later down the road it might. Just thought I'd share if you don't mind.
